Step Into the Spotlight at Cabaret for a Cure!

2026 AUDITIONS:
Calling All T1D Performers and Their Loved Ones!
We're looking for talented singers and accompanists with T1D—or an immediate connection to T1D, such as a parent, sibling, child, or partner—to join us for Cabaret for a Cure. Share your talent and help us create an unforgettable evening!
Singers
We are looking for talented T1D singers, or singers who have a personal connection to T1D (parent, sibling, spouse, child, etc.). Please submit:
- One video with two contrasting song excerpts (16-32 bars or 1 minute in length each). Choose any musical theater songs (from Golden Age to contemporary/pop) that showcase your vocal range and personality. You may accompany yourself on piano, guitar, or ukulele if you'd like, or use a pre-recorded track or a live accompanist. Label this video: "Your Name: Songs"
- A separate video introduction (1 minute or less) where you introduce yourself, tell us where you're from, and share how long you've had T1D, or how T1D has impacted you or your loved ones. We'd also like to hear about your experience as a performer. Label this video: "Your Name: Intro"
Accompanists
We are looking for talented T1D accompanists, or accompanists who have a personal connection to T1D (parent, sibling, spouse, child, etc.). Please submit:
- One video with two contrasting excerpts (16-32 bars or 1 minute in length each) that demonstrate your musical versatility. If you also sing, feel free to accompany yourself on piano while singing. Label this video: "Your Name: Excerpts"
- A separate video introduction (1 minute or less) where you introduce yourself, tell us where you're from, and share how long you've had T1D, or how T1D has impacted you or your loved ones. We'd also like to hear about your experience as a musician. Label this video: "Your Name: Intro"
- *Note: We understand that the accompanist will be responsible for learning and performing all the music for the cabaret, and as such, a small stipend will be offered as compensation.
How to Submit:
Fill out this Google Form and upload your unlisted YouTube links by September 1, 2026.
Details:
- This is a completely voluntary, unpaid opportunity*. Performers and accompanists must be available for one rehearsal and the performance on cabaret night (dates TBD- first week of November)
- If selected, we ask that you sell at least 5 tickets. This is a key part of helping us build community, raise awareness, and maximize donations for T1D research. Tickets sold will directly contribute to our fundraising goals, even if your supporters cannot attend the event.
- The cabaret will take place in the suburbs of or in Philadelphia. We welcome both local and out-of-town performers, but if you are traveling from out of town, you will need to provide your own transportation and housing for both the rehearsal and the cabaret performance.
This is a unique opportunity to perform alongside a talented group of T1D artists, raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes, and contribute to an event that celebrates resilience, hope, and community.
